3 QUESTIONS

…about holiday party appetizers

Still figuring out what to cook for the holidays? Anthony asked cooking creator Emily Duncan for appetizer recipes that hit.

Anthony: What’s your go-to appetizer this time of year?

Emily: For me, these bacon-wrapped dates stuffed with goat cheese really spark joy. They’re easy and tasty, and I can easily dress them up with add-ons like herbs, nuts and my personal fave, Mike’s Hot Honey.

Anthony: Like you, I also celebrate Christmas and Hanukkah. What’s something I can bring to Hanukkah dinner that isn’t bacon-wrapped?

Emily: Great question! You can 100% drop the bacon in the stuffed dates for Hanukkah. They’ll still be super-tasty with the hot honey and olive oil. But if you’re looking for something else, I also make cilantro-jalapeño latkes as a fun twist on the classic! Here’s the recipe.

Anthony: What’s a holiday app that’s sure to please any crowd?

Emily: You can’t go wrong with a charcuterie board. Meat, cheese, fruit and bread mean there’s something for everyone. (Here’s a list of staples.) However, the biggest hit at my house are my beef Wellington bites.
